You are an animation designer. Timothy is sick today. You need to finish some project work for him. Follow the instructions below. Follow them carefully!

The project files you need can be found here:

Download the project files and save them in a new project folder - do not leave them in the downloads folder of your computer.

Open the tank.fla project file in Adobe Flash Professional.

Lock all of the layers.

Import all of the mp3 files that you downloaded into the library.

Insert a new layer and name it "soundTank"

Decide where the tank sound needs to start and drag tank.mp3 from the library onto the stage. Test your design.

Insert a new layer called soundSqueek.

The squeek sound starts when the lid of the tank opens. Use F6 on the soundSqueek layer at this point and drag soundSqueek.mp3 onto the stage.

Insert a new layer called soundPop.

The pop sound starts when the cannon shoots the heart. Use your skills and add pop.mp3 to the animation at the correct point on the timeline.

Insert a new layer called soundWhoosh.

The whooshing sound starts when the heart flies out of the cannon. Use your skills and add whoosh.mp3 to the animation at the correct point on the timeline. Test your design.

Insert a new layer called soundBoing.

The boing sound starts when the heart hits the man's head. Use your skills and add boing.mp3 to the animation at the correct point on the timeline. Test your design.

When the tank starts to move again, add another tank.mp3 file onto the stage. Test your design.

Save the project file and upload your folder into your Google Drive account.

Challenge! The story continues. After the tank disappears, a parachutist comes down from the sky. She lands on the ground and the heart flies to her. She catches it and the story ends. You can use any of the sounds in the library if they are useful to you.

If you need more sounds, follow these steps:

  1. Login to www.freesfx.com. The username is aavnsunbear and the password is sunbear

  2. Find a sound that you want and download it. Remember to consider the length of the sound. Short sounds work well.

  3. Find the sound in your downloads folder and copy it into your project folder.

  4. Rename the file if it is too long!

  5. In Flash, go to File - Import to Library and import your sound file.

  6. Create a new layer and decide where you want the sound to play in the timeline!
